Warning: massive picture load for this post.
So finally celebrated fi's belated birthday at Phuket, Katathani Beach Resort.

It was an hour drive from the airport down to the resort.
Resort staff arranged "romantic" decor around our room, haha, simple ones.
When we arrived, we both knocked out in bed, journey travelled was way too long and tiring. But then we checked around the bloody big resort, 3 big swimming pool, a private beach, Diving centre, Spa, 5 restaurants, yadda yadda...
Walking around it will get you lost...

We decided to go for one of the planned activities, on the 1st day. It was at the ATV park, what do you call those? Tractors? Extremely fun i'm telling you!! riding through mud, forest, uphill downhill, you like real adventure, you should try this. BUT I would never let fi try it again, cause she overturn the damn thing and it toppled over her, I see fear right smack in my face!! I practically jumped out from my vehicle and reach out for her. haha sound like some superhero eh, but trust me, that girl scared me stiff, yet she can still laugh about it!
We ride into the forest around the beach, in muddy fields for 2 hours at pretty high speed. perfect fun!=))

And after that thrilling ride, it pretty much drained our energy and we could only head back to the resort and slack explore more around..

Had dinner with fi's sister and husband who so happen to be in phuket too. They stayed in Burasari at Patong beach. Had a 30min drive down to meet them for Seafood yummilicious dinner.
Oh and their tuk-tuk in Phuket is different from Bangkok's, this one seriously can carry a load.

Second day
Next day, we decided to snorkel a little. Took a half day trip at Khai Nok Island. Wanted to head to Phi Phi Island but it was an entire day trip and Fi wanted just half-day, so Khai Nok it was!
Us in snorkelling gear was not taken, only in the other waterproof camera. I seriously do hope the pictures turned out well. Ain't much corals, apparently cause of the destruction from tidal waves, Tsunami. =(
But yeah, lots of time spent on feeding the fishes, snorkelling around, laying on the sand, tanning...the soft white sand, so clear sea water...=))

Heading back by chartered boat to the jetty. Sea was choppy, felt as if we were gonna fly off.

AND! I finally ride a motorcycle. How vulnerable I feel man! I don't know, felt so 'naked' haha. But it was amusing and entertaining for fi. We had to ride up and down steep slope and around the bend, thankfully ain't much traffic. It only cost 300baht for 24hrs rental. No license required.

Had dinner at one of the resort's restaurant, Mediterranean dishes.

Walk by the beach after dinner, enjoyed the breeze. As the beach belongs to the resort, it seems entirely yours.

Third Day
By their pool containing sea water, sun was great!! 10X stronger than in S'pore.

Who could resist dipping into the beach, darn clear water!! Wave was strong, fi got thrown around. hahaha... we were like kids, running around in and outta the water, its been awhile since I played catching eh!

can't agree more that the sunset was awesome. I arranged a dinner in the resort by the sunset.

By far, this is the only trip that I totally took my mind off everything, ain't stress with shopping lists (unlike other trips), it was major amount of slacking, chilling and really, fabulous!
Met alot of nice people around (tourists), treated like royalty, loads of friendly and helpful residences around. Splendid staff assistance and just darn good service and very impressive!!
Thou, we are really burnt out and darling fi is seriously burnt! This trip was worth every cent and exhausting journey.
"It's one of those unforgettable trips" you'll say the same once you step there, Paradise it is!
and I hope you did enjoy this birthday gift from me to you...
with love.
