I was told, Don't try to keep a safe distance so as to see what happens. Don't wait to be certain before you take that step. What you give, you will receive, although it might sometimes come from the place you least expect.
It's been a year and I've torn myself apart. Far more than ever. Through it all, undeniably bastard enough. I ran. Nothing near falling. And now, I gave up. Or rather, I gave in, to myself.
As much as I don't trust myself, I'm starting to reconcile where I left off.
She, makes me this happy.
First trip to Taiwan. Probably post a few more pics abt the trip. One memorable trip ;)

No one can fall in love if he is even partially satisfied with what he has or who he is. The experience of falling in love originates in an extreme depression, an inability to find something that has value in everyday life. The "symptom" of the predisposition to fall in love is not the conscious desire to do so, the intense desire to enrich our lives; it is the profound sense of being worthless and of having nothing that is valuable and the shame of not having it. For this reason, falling in love occurs more frequently among young people, since they are profoundly uncertain, and often ashamed of themselves. The same thing applies to people of other ages when they lose something in their lives - when their youth ends or when they start to grow old.
Have been, thankful. Til then, I'll be sorry. To them, whom I've met. One need to start caring. Actually, I might already have.

I'm glad I could make it to Jean's photography exhibition yesterday. Her series "Saved by Buddha", she documents the ethnic minority children in Myanmar who find safe haven in monasteries. They were inspiring and heart-warming.
Oh and Steve McCurry was there too. Not that I know him, but I sure know what picture he took in National Geogrpahic covers. You know which one I'm talking about.
Anyway visit their webby: http://www.mopasia.com.sg/
Apart from the crazy week and trying to slot in gym time after work, my body's aching and finding more sleep time to recuperate. So yes waking up late on Sunday afternoon ain't sucha bad idea.
Now, off to grocery shopping. Works just well on a lazy Sunday. =)
Watched Ghost of your Girlfriends' Pasts.
Yeah, it's just one of those weekend shows to catch. Nothing too intense, just light.
This part where he said "Love is food for the weak.."
On the contrary, somehow, I beg to differ. I'm sure most of you will too. But having said that, Love itself, such a strong overly used word, shows nothing more than the moments of obscurity. Far from being certain, worst still, it eats you bit by bit without you knowing. L, just enchants you somehow to grow intensely dependent on your significant other. It manifests the emptiness when it eats you, anyway.
To some, too much L to give is such a decadent act. So why deal with it.
I don't agree that one can only be truly happy, only when you find L.
Intimacy without intricacy, such simplicity. One should live by it.
Still getting used to the new, yet busy environment and knowing that I'll be there for 6 months on this job assignment, I'll deal with what's ahead. My hours spent in the office are way more than ever before. Keeping my fingers crossed, I can't wait to hear some piece of good news soon.
Right now, so much things to learn which is not too shabby but - my brain is tearing itself apart.
I know I owe people Yogja pictures and am supposed to load them up with all the other albums, I've hardly got the time. It's quite a rare hour being online, cause the last thing I wanna do right now is to face another screen.
I've got plenty to do and weekends are the time to play catch up with friends, family and what not.
Ok, in a nutshell, I'm pretty drained and probably the next post would be in a months time. Hopefully I can get the pictures sorted out for them.
Somewhere it says that when one person is thoroughly smitten with the other, the other must be unavoidably be smitten as well. Amor ch'anull'amato amar perdona. Love, which exempts no one who's loved from loving.
I've got a problem with using the L word, actually.
Before heading off to Yogyakarta tomorrow, shall recommend these 2 Spore International Film Fest movies to catch.
Hoping to visit Borobudur in Yogja.

After deciding what to watch and what not, (since there were plenty, but too little time), we just spent 2 evenings watching the 2. Shall revisit the website again to see what's screening when I'm back.
Meantime, tickets are selling out fast.
The Black Balloon

The Black Balloon is a story about fitting in, discovering love, and accepting your family.
It’s not easy being Thomas. He’s turning sixteen; and moving into a new house, and school. His older brother Charlie announces their arrival to the neighbours by banging a wooden spoon and wailing on the front lawn. Charlie doesn’t speak. He’s autistic and has ADD. He’s also unpredictable, sometimes unmanageable, and often disgusting. Thomas hates his brother but wishes he didn’t.
The Mollisons are an army family; but it’s not what you’d call a regimented life, or even a regular household. Thomas’s cricket-obsessed father, Simon, talks to his teddy. Simon and Maggie are openly intimate, and now Maggie is going to have another baby.
One morning, the semi-naked Charlie escapes the house and leads Thomas on a chase across the neighbourhood. Charlie bursts into a stranger’s house to use the toilet; and Thomas finds himself face to face with Jackie Masters, his gawky but fascinating new classmate. The trouble is she’s in the shower.
Maggie has complications with her pregnancy and becomes bedridden. Thomas and Simon between them take on Charlie’s daily routine; and Thomas experiences the less savoury aspects of coping with his brother. What he didn’t bargain for was the shit-smearing, shopping centre tantrums, and riding in the Autistic School bus. It’s sink or swim; and Thomas is drowning.
The truth is he is – literally. The school swimming lessons are a nightmare, because Thomas has never got beyond doggie paddle. Then Thomas is partnered with Jackie for basic life-saving; and Jackie swims like a fish. It’s only when they get to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation that things pick up and young love blossoms between the two – well, three, because Charlie is also entranced by the pretty girl.
Thomas’s birthday dinner turns into a nightmare. Pent-up frustrations about his brother pour out that are both confronting and
ultimately heart-warming.
Worlds Apart.
Best known for getting doors closed in their faces, Jehovah’s Witnesses are in the spotlight of this complex Danish drama directed by Niels Arden Oplev. Based on true events, the story centers on a family of Witnesses who must decide—under difficult circumstances—if their love of God is greater than their love for one another, as their faith teaches them. Bringing about this Edenic fall, or so it seems, is 17-year-old Sara, who is blissfully devout until her hormones lead her into the arms of a nonbeliever (as we learn through a series of falling-in-love-in-the-rain scenes). But Sara, we soon discover, isn't the only one questioning her faith and her family. During this emotional tug-of-war, Worlds Apart starts to resemble a sort of religious version of Survivor, where a single misstep—adultery, premarital sex, challenging the views of the “elders”—can get you booted off Jehovah’s island.
Easter weekend was spent travelling to remote places to eat, hang out and slacked away.
It kick started at Mel's. Spent a couple of hrs with them watching Shawshank Redemption and being a MJ audience.

Yoda is sucha puss. Ha. A cute one.

I've always believed that that is Mel.

You guys gotta try out this Cafe Oliv @ 220 East Coast Rd. A simple cafe which serves yummilicious sides and mains. Besides, it is definitely value for money.
The soft shell crab dipped in whatever that sauce it came with, terrific combination.

The scallop salad (the crispy leaves) opens the tastebuds. =)

She had Ribs, which is a-ok.

I had one of the specials - Beef Stew.

I don't have a sweet tooth, so ain't a fan of desserts. But, apparently their desserts will knock you off.

Lastly, while picking up a cake for daddy's birthday, tried out this lychee martini cake. It is a must try, I'm tellin ya.
@ Pine Garden's Cake - Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, Blk 529 01-2369.

And end the weekend with creepy black mask on.
CVH.

It's amazing how women have their arsenal of cosmetic/facial products. Well, it's a 1st time seeing her flipping out a black mask.
Haha. Shite.

Just got back from the land of cherry blossoms. Stunning blossoms, lovely weather, yummilicious food, terrible amount of travelling but coupled with daily laughter and endearing bickering (alittle), I must say.
As usual be it in either city, service was top-notched.
This trip, I came across this amazing liquid drip called "yi dian chow" translate into english, it's "a little smelly" Ok anyway, it's to drip 1 droplet into your toilet bowl before you churn out your daily business. Supposedly it gets rid of your "foul business". Perhaps, they shd really bring it into Spore. We shd start using them. We shd also add a fake flushing tone into our toilet bowls, pls. ha, you'll agree.
I'll post the pictures up soon. Meantime here are those before I left for my trip.
After my 2nd attempt to register for this event, finally! It was just a weekend before my trip that I had to head to Batam to build house. Met several IB and PB colleagues during the trip. Primary goal was to build houses, surprisingly, it also became a networking session with other department colls.
Well, if I become jobless, perhaps I can consider being one contruction worker. The hardship, you just can't imagine man, I'm telling ya.

Joochiat.

Been craving for beefy boodles.

Club-hopped.
